Awards & Honors

The Hatcher Agency started on September 1, 1990 by Greg Hatcher.  Since then much has happened.  Greg Hatcher became the Top Health Insurance Producer in the state of Arkansas after only one year of business.  He has remained a top producer every year since the agency began in 1990.  Listed below are just a few of his accomplishments.

Greg has chaired the following boards:

Community Awards and Recognitions

  • The Hatcher Agency received Arkansas Community Foundation's 2006 Outstanding Philathropic Corporation Award for Small Business.  Other corporations to receive this award that year were Petit Jean State Bank in Morrilton, Twin City Bank in Pulaski County, and Simmons First National Corporation headquartered in Pine Bluff.

 

  • Greg Hatcher was honored as the March of Dimes Citizen of the Year in November 2005.

  • Greg was honored by the Sales and Marketing Executives Association as their Business Person of the Year in 2000

 

  • The Hatcher Agency was named the Arkansas Small Business of the Year by Arkansas Business in 1993.
  • In 1993, Greg was named to Arkansas Business' first 40 under 40, which recognizes 40 top businessmen in the state under 40 years of age. 
  • Arkansas Business named Greg as a finalist for the Business Executive of the Year in 2000. 
  • The Hatcher Agency was voted "Best Corporate Insurance Firm" by readers of Arkansas Business in their Best of Business 2004, 2005, 200 6, 2007, 2008 AND 2009.
  • The Hatcher Agency was voted "Best Health Care Insuran ce Provider" in Arkansas Business' Best of Business 2006, 2007 AND 2008.
  • The Hatcher Agency was voted "Best Life Insurance Provider" in Arkansas Business' Best of Business 2007 AND 2008.
  • Greg Hatcher was voted "Best Motivational Speaker" in Arkansas Business' Best of Business 2006, 2007, 2008 AND 2009.

  • The Agency has acheived the National Association of Health Underwriters' Golden Eagle Award eight consecutive years, and due to this lifetime acheivement, no longer has to qualify. This award recognizes the top 12 producing health insurance agents in the United States.
  • The Hatcher Agency and its employees have served the community in many ways including serving on the following boards: The Arthritis Foundation, Boys' and Girls' Clubs of America, The Baptist Health Foundation, The St. Vincent Health Foundation, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, The Kidney Foundation, The American Red Cross, and Downtown Little Rock Rotary Club Board of Directors, Little Rock's Children's Protection Center, just to name a few.

  • Presently, The Hatcher Agency is the top producing agency for the nation's largest life and disability carrier, UnumProvident
  • The Hatcher Agency is the top producing insurance agent for eight different insurance companies.

Publishing Credits

  • Greg published he book Between the Ears in December 2006. A helpful guide for parents and coaches of student athletes, this book focuses on the mental aspects of sports that can help kids and their parents have a more successful sporting experience.   • Greg published his book 55 Steps to Outrageous Service in 1999, detailing how The Hatcher Agency built it's business on offering Outrageous Customer Service. The book has sold over 15,000 copies!

Alma College & Tau Kappa Episilon

 

  • In 1983 Greg was named Top TKE of Alma College.
  • Also in 1983, he was named as the Nation's Top TKE!
  • In 2001, Greg was named a Distinguished Alumni by the Tau Kappa Epsilon(TKE) Chapter at Alma College in Alma, Michigan. 
  • Currently, Greg serves as the President of Tau Kappa Episilon Alumnae Association.

 

 

  • In 1983, Greg was awarded the distinguished honor of being named Outstanding Senior Graduate.
  • In 2008 Greg was named a Distinguished Alumni by Alma Collegeand inducted into the Alma College Sports Hall of Fame (soccer, wrestling, and baseball). 
  • Greg was named a member of the Alma College Hall of Fame-Distinguished Alumnus in 2007
  • In 2008, Greg became a member of the Alma College Board of Trustees.
  • Greg was again named Alma College's Distinguished Alumni in 2009.

Wrestling

  • He has been the driving force behind the movement to start and sanction high school wrestling in Arkansas, which was one of two states that did not have wrestling as a sanctioned sport.
  • Greg was honored with the 2010 Arkansas Activities Association Award of Merit.  
  • WIN Magazine honored Greg with the 2010 Wrestling Man of the Year Award
  • Greg is the recipient of the National Wrestling Coaches Association Dan Gable America Needs Wrestling Award for his leadership in adding wrestling as a high school sport in Arkansas.
  • To date there are 53 high schools and 3 colleges that now offer wrestling thanks to the enormous efforts Greg made to the sport and the state of Arkansas.
  • Greg Hatcher was awarded the Mike Chapman Impact Award 2010 for his efforts to bring wrestling to Arkansas.

  Rotary

  • Greg served as the 2004-2005 President of the Downtown Rotary Club of Little Rock.  The Downtown Little Rock Rotary Club is the largest rotary associsation in the state of Arkansas and the sixth largest in the United States!
  • He was also named the Rotarian of the Year in 2000 by the Downtown Rotary Club of Little Rock.
