Greg Hatcher started The Hatcher Agency from scratch in September of 1990 with a loan from the bank, an assistant, and 500 square feet of office space. He signed a 3 year lease on that 500 square feet of office space thinking that would be all he would ever need. At the end of the first year he had outgrown his office space had grown to 7 employees and produced more insurance in his first year of business than any agent in the state of Arkansas. Three years later in 1993 The Hatcher Agency was named Arkansas' Small Business of the Year by Arkansas Business and The Hatcher Agency was the largest health insurance agency in the state of Arkansas. Greg and The Hatcher Agency have been the number one producer since leading the state of Arkansas in health insurance sales every year since they started business in 1990.

Greg graduated in 1983 from Alma College with a degree in Public Relations. While at Alma he was President of the Student Body, lettered in soccer, wrestling and baseball, and was named the schools Outstanding Graduate and the TKE Fraternity's Top Fraternity Man for his local Chapter and Nationwide. Following graduation he coached baseball at Notre Dame University for 1 year before going to work for Arkansas Blue Cross Blue Shield. In Greg's 7 years at Arkansas Blue Cross Blue Shield he was named the Account Executive of the Year a record six consecutive times before leaving to start his own agency in 1990. In 1999, Greg wrote the book 55 Steps to Outrageous Service, which is a book outlining the service that The Hatcher Agency delivers everyday to their clients. This book has sold over 15,000 copies to date and The Hatcher Agency has grown to a business with 30 employees, over 500 group clients, and over 50,000 insured's. Because of his Outrageous Service philosophy Greg and The Hatcher Agency have earned numerous awards and recognitions including lifetime status in the Million Dollar Roundtable recognizing the top 3 % of life insurance producers in the country and a lifetime Golden Eagle Award winner by the National Association of Health Underwriters recognizing the top 1% of health insurance producers nationwide.

The Hatcher Agency is the Top Producer currently for eight different insurance companies in Arkansas and has led the state in health insurance sales every year since they have been in business under Greg's leadership. In addition, The Hatcher Agency has been named Arkansas Business of the Year in 1993, Arkansas Business' Most Philanthropic Company in 2006, and has been named by Arkansas Business as the Best Insurance Agency every year they've done the survey. Recently Greg was named the Distinguished Alumnist by Alma College and was inducted into the Alma College Sports Hall of Fame (soccer, wrestling and baseball) and in 2008 Greg became a member of the Alma College Board of Trustees.

Greg Hatcher is a Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU), Chartered Health Consultant (CHC), Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC), Registered Health Underwriter (RHU), and Registered Employee Benefits Consultant (REBC). These designations account for over 50 different insurance exams and over 2,000 hours of additional study. Wendy is a 1995 graduate of the University of Central Arkansas with degrees in Geography and Biology. Wendy came to The Hatcher Agency from Alltel, where she helped companies program and install new phone systems. Ginger Poole worked for The Hatcher Agency in 2004 and 2005 as a Customer Service Representative before moving to Memphis, TN to work for Reliance Standard Insurance Company as a Regional Account Manager, which is one of our largest Long Term Disability carriers. She worked there for three years when she decided to move back to Arkansas to be closer to her family. When she decided to come back and Greg heard about it he hired her back immediately as she was always outstanding working for us and for the insurance carrier. Curtis is a 1978 graduate of Little Rock Catholic High School. While at Catholic, he earned his Eagle Scout and was the Marine Corps Youth Physical Fitness National Champion. Following graduation Curtis worked two years at Data World, a computer company, before going to work at Arkansas Blue Cross Blue Shield. Shannon is a 1989 graduate of Flour Bluff High School in Corpus Christi, Texas. She completed 4 years of undergraduate study at the University of Arkansas Little Rock. During college, Shannon worked full time for an insurance agency in Little Rock. She spent 10 years with the same company, eventually becoming Vice President, General Manager. She works with Greg Hatcher to manage the Agency and help with all the special projects and community service events the Agency is involved in. Mollie Lloyd is from Little Rock, AR and has lived in Fayetteville, AR for the past 18 years.  In 1995 she graduated from the University of Arkansas with a degree in Journalism.     Her professional experiences are in real estate, finance and marketing and she holds an Arkansas Real Estate License.  Mollie works in marketing and oversees the agencies real estate.  Mollie has two children, Emma and Hayes ages 15 and 13.

Emily graduated from Ouachita Baptist University in 2007, with a degree in Studio art and a minor in mass communications. Following college she worked as a preschool teacher in Arkadelphia, teaching three and four year olds. Emily joined The Hatcher Agency in the fall of August 2008 and works with Chelsee in the commissions department along with being the part time receptionist.
